When I sat down with Topher Jones, founder of Rave Jesus, I thought we'd be diving into a cultural critique on the normalization of demonic imagery in mainstream music. And we did.
But what happened next took us both by surprise.
We began peeling back the deeper layers - beneath the shock-value visuals and into the hearts of the youth who are listening. What we uncovered was a generation in emotional crisis. Teens battling anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts - and parents unsure how to respond. What unfolded was a spirit-led conversation about fatherhood, faith, mental health,
and hope.
Topher, as both an artist and a dad, shared raw insight:
'If you want to receive? Give. You want to be first? Be last. That's the Kingdom.'
He opened up about the role of fathers to speak identity into their children and reminded us that God is not just in the quiet time - He's with us at the grocery store, in the gym, on the school run.
And to every young listener struggling with the weight of life, he says:
'You hold the power to change it. Choose life.'
